What Southeast Asian mines actually need
Southeast Asian mining is mostly coal, nickel and bauxite in tropical, often wet conditions, with a short, fixed pit-to-plant haul loop. The defining feature is the loop: a fixed distance between pit and processing plant, often with power available at the loop ends. That is the duty electric mining trucks are built for. We have shipped electric mining trucks and blasthole drills across Indonesian coal and nickel, Vietnamese bauxite and regional aggregate operations.
Electric trucks on a powered pit-to-plant loop
A Southeast Asian coal or nickel mine usually runs a short, fixed loop between the pit and the processing plant, with grid or generator power at the loop ends. An electric mining truck - the YTK90E for lighter coal, or the YTK105E for denser nickel - cuts fuel and exhaust on that fixed loop. The charge covers the loop with margin for waiting, and charging points sit at the loop ends. The full range is on the mining dump trucks page.
For a worked example of an electric truck on an Indonesian coal loop, see the Indonesia coal case, which covers the powered-loop fuel-saving logic in practice. The drill sets fragmentation, which sets truck fill; a rotary blasthole drill handles production benches.
Match the truck to the ore and the loop
Coal is lighter, so a 50 to 90 t electric truck moves the ore on the loop; nickel is denser, so the 90 to 105 t class suits the haul. Bauxite and aggregate mines that do not yet have a powered loop can run the diesel rigid class until the loop is electrified, then switch. We size the truck to the ore density and the loading tool, so the truck fills cleanly from the shovel rather than running under-loaded.
The monsoon matters: tropical mines run wet, so trucks are spec'd with corrosion protection and drainage. The brief is the same as the construction side - keep the machine working through the wet season, not parked waiting for dry weather.
Export to Jakarta and mine support
Mining trucks ship from Shanghai or Qingdao to Jakarta or a regional port, a short sea voyage of roughly 10 to 20 days, then overland to the mine. We prepare the full export document set and work with forwarders who know regional ports. The short sea leg is a parts advantage: a starter fast-moving-parts kit ships with the first order, and a replacement part arrives in 10 to 20 days rather than 40.

Logistics, customs and payment at a glance
| Route | Sea freight | Typical incoterms |
|---|---|---|
| Shanghai / Qingdao to Jakarta | ~10-18 days | CIF Jakarta |
| Port to mine site | + overland by road | DAP mine gate option |
| Critical parts | Air freight | Per urgency |
Payment terms are standard T/T: 30 percent deposit with the order, 70 percent balance before shipment. For established mining customers and larger fleets we can discuss an irrevocable L/C at sight from an acceptable bank. We quote in US dollars on FOB, CIF or DAP terms. Frequently asked questions
Which Southeast Asian commodities do you supply?
We supply electric trucks and blasthole drills across Indonesian coal and nickel, Vietnamese bauxite and regional aggregate operations, with the class matched to the bench and power available.
Why choose electric mining trucks here?
Many mines run a short, fixed pit-to-plant loop with power at the loop ends. An electric truck cuts fuel and exhaust on that loop, as Indonesian coal mines already do.
How is the power loop planned?
The loop is short and fixed, so the truck's charge covers it with margin for waiting, and charging points sit at the loop ends. The drill sets fragmentation; the truck class fills from the loading tool.
How does equipment reach a Southeast Asian mine?
It ships to Jakarta or a regional port in 10 to 20 days, then overland to the mine. We plan the port and overland leg and prepare the full export document set.
What payment terms apply?
Standard is 30 percent T/T deposit and 70 percent before shipment. For established mining customers and larger fleets we can discuss an irrevocable L/C at sight. We quote in US dollars.
Size a mining fleet for your Southeast Asian operation
Send us the commodity, daily tonnage, ore density, loop length and power available at the loop ends, and our mining engineering team will match electric or diesel trucks and drills across the Yutong range. We quote in US dollars on FOB, CIF or DAP terms with the full customs document set.
