Middle East mining: rigid trucks and water trucks for phosphate, granite and quarry operations.

Mining Equipment for the Middle East: Yutong Trucks for Local Quarry and Phosphate Operations

Rigid mining trucks and water trucks for Middle East phosphate, granite and quarry operations: what to specify, export to Jebel Ali, support.

What Middle East mining operations need

Middle East mining is not the deep copper pits of Chile; it is mostly phosphate, granite aggregate and rock quarries in a hot, dusty desert climate. The duty is a fixed bench, a known loading tool, and haul roads that throw up dust in the dry wind. The equipment that works is the truck class matched to the bench and shovel, plus dust control on the haul road, and parts that do not strand the operation on a sea freight wait. We have shipped rigid mining trucks and water trucks across Gulf quarry and phosphate operations.

Match the truck to the bench and the shovel

Quarry and phosphate benches are fixed, so the truck class is set by the loading tool and bench width. The 40 to 50 t class - the YT3621 or the YTG50 - suits the bench and fills cleanly from the shovel or loader. The full range is on the mining dump trucks page. For a worked example of matching a truck to a shovel, see the Chile copper mine case; the loading-tool matching logic is the same on a quarry bench.

Granite and aggregate are abrasive, so the dump body wears faster than on soft ore. We line the body for abrasive rock and spec tyres to the haul-road rolling resistance, which is where operating cost on a quarry is won or lost.

Dust control on desert haul roads

A desert quarry haul road throws up dust that affects visibility, the truck air filters and the surrounding area. A water sprinkler truck wets the haul road to keep dust down, and a dust suppression truck targets airborne dust at the active face. Water supply on site is planned around the haul-road length, so the water truck does not run out mid-route. The dust-control logic is detailed in the construction dust control case.

Keeping the haul road wetted also reduces tyre and brake wear, because loose abrasive material on the road abrades tyres. That is why the water truck is part of the fleet, not an optional extra on a dusty Middle East mine.

Export to Jebel Ali and mine support

Mining trucks ship from Shanghai or Qingdao to Jebel Ali or a regional port, a sea voyage of roughly 20 to 30 days, then overland to the mine. We prepare the full export document set and work with forwarders who know Gulf customs. A starter fast-moving-parts kit ships with the first order, so the mine is not waiting on sea freight for a filter or brake lining.

Because the Gulf runs hot, we spec cooling so the truck holds performance at peak ambient. More on the after-sales support page. Construction buyers should also look at the Middle East construction machinery page, and sanitation buyers at the Middle East sanitation equipment page.

Frequently asked questions

What Middle East operations do you supply?

We supply rigid mining trucks and water trucks for phosphate, granite aggregate and quarry operations across the Gulf, with the truck class matched to the bench and ore.

What truck class suits quarries and phosphate?

Quarry and phosphate benches are fixed, so the 40 to 50 t rigid class suits the bench and loading tool, with a water truck controlling dust on the haul road.

How does equipment reach a Middle East mine?

It ships from Shanghai or Qingdao to Jebel Ali or a regional port in 20 to 30 days, then overland to the mine. We plan the port and overland leg with our forwarder.

How is dust control handled on desert haul roads?

A water truck wets the haul road and a dust suppression truck targets airborne dust at the face. Water supply is planned around the haul-road length so the truck does not run out.

What payment terms apply?

Standard is 30 percent T/T deposit and 70 percent before shipment. For established mining customers and larger fleets we can discuss an irrevocable L/C at sight. We quote in US dollars.
