Three structures, matched to how your project earns money
Equipment rarely pays for itself on day one. A haul truck on a copper mine earns per tonne moved; a sweeper on a municipal contract earns per month. We structure the payment plan around that revenue stream so your repayments align with when the machine is actually generating income. Whether you run a 5-unit mining fleet, a single crawler crane for a wind farm, or a municipal sweeper fleet, there is a structure that fits the cash cycle of the job.
Finance lease: own the asset at the end of the term
A finance lease (also called a capital lease) is closest to a hire purchase. You pay regular rentals over an agreed term, and at the end you take ownership of the equipment for a nominal buyout. This suits buyers who intend to keep the machine for its full working life and want the asset on their balance sheet. Depreciation and interest can often be treated against taxable profit, depending on your local tax rules. Typical terms run 24 to 60 months, with a deposit of 20% to 30% and a final buyout of 1% of the original value.
Operating lease: use the machine, return or buy at the end
An operating lease keeps the equipment off your balance sheet. You pay a rental for the contract period, and at the end you return the unit, extend the lease, or purchase it at an agreed residual value. This is the right choice for shorter project cycles, test-and-deploy fleet expansion, or buyers who want to refresh to a newer model at the end of the term. It also avoids the risk of residual value swings on a machine you do not plan to keep for ten years.
Installment payment: direct spread without a finance partner
For buyers who prefer a direct arrangement with us, installment payment spreads the proforma invoice over agreed monthly or quarterly milestones. You pay a deposit at order, a balance before shipment, and the remainder in fixed installments after commissioning. This keeps the arrangement between buyer and manufacturer without involving a third-party leasing house, and is commonly used for repeat customers and smaller orders.
Equipment that can be financed
Financing applies across the range, not just one product line. On the mining side, mining dump trucks from the 90-tonne electric class up to larger fuel and hybrid units are frequently financed in fleets. In lifting, crawler cranes from 55-tonne to 100-tonne capacity suit wind farm and infrastructure contractors. On earthmoving, wheel loaders are common for quarry and port operators. For municipal fleets, road sweepers and sprinkler trucks are routinely financed against service contracts. Foundation contractors finance rotary blasthole drilling rigs, and concrete producers finance mixer trucks from the special vehicle range.
The 4-step application process
| Step | What happens | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Enquiry & spec | Tell us the machine model, fleet size, project location and your preferred structure. We send a proforma invoice. | 1 to 3 working days |
| 2. Documentation | You submit company registration, two years of audited financials, bank references and project justification. | Buyer side, 1 to 2 weeks |
| 3. Assessment & offer | We review and, where applicable, refer to our financing partners. You receive a formal offer with rate, deposit, term and schedule. | 5 to 7 working days |
| 4. Contract & delivery | Sign, pay deposit, schedule production and shipment, commission on site. | 2 to 4 weeks to signing |
The numbers we work with
| Parameter | Typical range |

| Operating lease term | 12 to 48 months, project-based |
| Preliminary indication | 5 to 7 working days after documents |

Talk to us before you commit capital
The right structure depends on your project cash flow, not just the sticker price. Bring us your fleet plan and we will model a finance lease, operating lease or installment schedule that matches your revenue. Read more about the machines on the products page, check used and demonstration equipment for lower entry cost, and see how fleets perform in the case studies. Our after-sales support on every financed unit is described on the service page, and warranty terms on the warranty page.
Frequently asked questions
What financing options are available for Yutong equipment?
We work on finance lease, operating lease and installment payment. A finance lease transfers ownership at term end; an operating lease keeps the asset off your balance sheet; installment spreads the invoice over agreed monthly payments with a deposit.
How long does the financing application take?
After we receive your completed application and documents, a preliminary indication typically comes back within 5 to 7 working days. Final approval and contract signing usually complete within 2 to 4 weeks.
Which equipment can be financed?
The full range: mining dump trucks, crawler cranes, wheel loaders, road sweepers, rotary drilling rigs and concrete mixer trucks. A single machine or a multi-unit fleet can be structured.
What documents do I need to apply?
Company registration, audited financial statements for the last two years, bank reference letters, a business plan or project justification, and the equipment specification with proforma invoice.
Is a down payment required?
Most structures require an upfront deposit, commonly 20% to 30% of the equipment value, with the balance spread over the agreed term. The exact figure is set case by case.
Can I finance used or demonstration equipment?
Yes, subject to machine condition, age and valuation. Send us the model and current hours and we will structure a proposal.
