The standard warranty, in plain terms
Every Yutong machine leaves our Zhengzhou facility with a 12-month / 2,000-hour warranty, whichever comes first, measured from the delivery date. It covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating and maintenance conditions. Quality control runs through receiving inspection, in-process checks and pre-delivery inspection under ISO 9001, so defects are caught before shipment rather than after. This applies across the range, from mining dump trucks and crawler cranes to road sweepers.
What is covered
The warranty protects you against parts that fail because of a factory defect: an engine component that cracks prematurely, a hydraulic pump that loses pressure within its expected life, a transmission that does not hold rated load, an electrical controller that faults outside normal parameters. When a confirmed defect appears, we supply the genuine replacement part and authorize the repair. This is why using genuine spare parts matters — it keeps the fault chain traceable to manufacturing rather than to a substitute component.
What is not covered
No warranty covers every possible outcome, and we would rather be upfront. Consumables and wear items — tyres, filters, brushes, brake linings, wiper blades — follow their own wear schedules and are expected to be replaced through normal maintenance. Misuse such as overloading beyond rated capacity, operating outside the specified temperature or terrain range, or running the machine without required fluids, is excluded. Incorrect maintenance, use of non-genuine parts, accident damage, and unauthorized modification or repair are also excluded. These boundaries are standard across the equipment industry and are there so genuine defects are repaired fairly.
Extended warranty options
For fleets on long project cycles, the standard 12 months may not match your planned operating horizon. Extended warranty can be agreed at order stage, extending coverage beyond the standard period for an additional term. It is typically tied to a structured maintenance plan and the use of genuine parts, because warranty protection is only as strong as the maintenance record behind the machine. If you are running a multi-year mine or municipal contract, ask about extended cover when you discuss financing — pairing the two keeps cost and risk predictable across the asset's life.
The after-sales and warranty claim process
| Step | Action | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Report | Email or call with model, serial number, hours, fault description, photos or video. | Within 24-hour acknowledgement |
| 2. Diagnose | We open a remote diagnostic session for network-enabled equipment; dealer or engineer reviews. | 1 to 3 working days |
| 3. Confirm | We confirm whether the fault is a covered defect under warranty. | Within a few days of diagnosis |
| 4. Repair | Genuine part dispatched; repair performed by dealer or our engineer on site. | Part lead time + service travel |
Beyond warranty: keeping the machine covered
Warranty is a safety net, not a maintenance plan. Long uptime comes from scheduled service, trained operators and planned parts stock. Our after-sales support includes 7x24 technical response within 24 hours, remote diagnostics, on-site commissioning and operator training. Authorized dealers perform warranty work locally, which cuts the time between diagnosis and repair. Document references for maintenance intervals are available on the downloads page.
Start a warranty claim or talk to service
If a machine has faulted, do not wait — the sooner we open the claim, the faster we diagnose and dispatch. Provide the model, serial number and current hours along with photos or video. For new orders, discuss extended warranty and a maintenance plan at the same time as financing and parts supply. Reach us on the contact page or email market@yutonggroup.com.
Frequently asked questions
What does the standard Yutong warranty cover?
A 12-month / 2,000-hour warranty (whichever first) from delivery, covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating and maintenance conditions.
What is not covered by the warranty?
Consumables and wear items follow their own wear schedules. Damage from misuse, overloading, incorrect maintenance, non-genuine parts, accident or unauthorized modification is not covered.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Report the fault with model, serial number, hours, description and photos or video. We diagnose remotely, confirm the defect, and authorize repair or parts replacement through your dealer or service team.
Is extended warranty available?
Yes, agreed at order stage and tied to machine condition and a structured maintenance plan, extending coverage beyond the standard period.
Does the warranty cover labor and parts?
Confirmed defects are repaired with genuine parts. Labor and travel costs are handled according to the service agreement and local dealer arrangement, confirmed when the claim is opened.
Does using non-genuine parts affect my warranty?
Yes. A failure caused by a non-genuine part or improper repair is not covered. Genuine parts and scheduled maintenance keep your warranty position intact.
