Infrastructure & Bridge Construction Solutions

Rotary drilling rigs, crawler cranes and bridge inspection vehicles for bridge, tunnel and rail projects, covering both construction and decades of maintenance.

The infrastructure and bridge challenge

Bridge, tunnel and rail projects demand precision: foundation piles must meet tight tolerance, lifts must hold weight over water or busy traffic, and operating bridges need regular inspection from underneath. Sites are often constrained, with limited headroom, sloping ground and restricted access. Our infrastructure solutions combine rotary drilling rigs for foundations, crawler cranes for lifting, and bridge inspection vehicles for maintenance, so one supplier covers build and operate phases. See the expressway bridge case and the Europe bridge inspection case.

Solution combination

The rotary drilling rig (electric or fuel) bores foundation piles for piers and abutments. The crawler crane (55 to 100 tons) lifts precast segments, girders and rebar cages. For maintenance, the bridge inspection vehicle provides under-bridge access from 23 to 26 meters. For weak ground, a dynamic compaction machine improves bearing capacity. This family is overviewed on the foundation construction page.

Typical infrastructure scenarios

Expressway bridge construction. Rotary drills bore piers, crawler cranes place precast segments. The China expressway bridge case documents the lift sequence and site logistics.

Urban high-speed rail piling. Electric rotary drills work in dense cities with low noise and no local exhaust. The high-speed rail pile case shows a production piling program. Compare drill types on the electric vs fuel page.

Operating bridge inspection. A bridge inspection vehicle lowers technicians under the deck for inspection and maintenance. The Europe bridge inspection case shows the unit in service. Selecting the right unit is covered on the buyer guide.

Weak ground improvement. Dynamic compaction machines densify fill and weak soil before foundation work. See the landfill ground improvement case.

Constrained-site operation

Bridge and rail sites are tight. Our crawler cranes transport in sections and rig on site, and our electric drills run on grid power where diesel is restricted. For under-bridge work, the inspection vehicle operates from the shoulder with minimal lane closure. We plan rig-up and lane closures with the contractor during commissioning. Read about commissioning on the after-sales page.

Maintenance over the asset life

Bridge construction is one phase; inspection and maintenance run for decades. Supplying both the piling/lifting fleet and the inspection vehicle means the operator deals with one supplier across the asset life. Spare parts and operator training for the inspection vehicle follow the same support plan as construction equipment. See the warranty page and service page.

Engineering support for tender stage

Infrastructure contracts require documented equipment capacity and compliance. Our engineering team prepares tailored spec sheets showing crane capacity charts, drill depth and diameter, and inspection vehicle reach, suitable for tender submission. For design-build projects we can review site geometry and recommend rig and crane configuration. See the downloads center for brochure availability and start a discussion on the contact page. Our manufacturing background is on the facility page.

Long infrastructure assets also require decades of inspection and maintenance access. Supplying the inspection vehicle alongside the construction equipment means the same supplier relationship supports the asset through operation. Spare parts for inspection vehicles follow the same lead-time commitments as construction machines.

Frequently asked questions

Which equipment do you supply for bridge construction?

We supply rotary drilling rigs for foundation piles, crawler cranes for lifting girders and segments, and bridge inspection vehicles for maintenance. For tunnel and underground works, rotary drills and material handling loaders support the project.

What is a bridge inspection vehicle and when is it needed?

A bridge inspection vehicle provides safe under-bridge access for inspection and maintenance. We offer truss-type units from 23 to 26 meters. They are required when inspecting or maintaining bridges where access by rope or scaffold is impractical. See the how-to-choose page.

Can your crawler cranes lift precast segments?

Yes. Our 55 to 100 ton crawler cranes are used for precast segment and girder placement. We specify boom configuration and lifting radius based on your segment weight and site geometry. See the wind turbine and bridge cases.

Do you support high-speed rail foundation piling?

Yes. Electric and fuel rotary drilling rigs produce bored piles for rail and bridge foundations. The high-speed rail pile case documents a real deployment. We also supply dynamic compaction machines for ground improvement.

What maintenance equipment do you offer for operating bridges?

Beyond inspection vehicles, we supply sweepers and sprinklers for bridge deck cleaning and drainage maintenance. For long-span bridges, the inspection vehicle is the primary access unit.
